Along with my colleagues, I've participated in the growth of the VRS Real Assets program growing AUM from 385m to ~11B over a 32 year period. I rode the 90s REIT wave, wiped out on the LP tsunami and am now skim boarding with a core+ apartment, industrial and timberland portfolio all the while leaving a low wake. Our latest undertaking at VRS is assembling a real assets team to invest in infrastructure, energy and mining and natural resources. Creating a cashflowing, recession defying portfolio is the strategy here at VRS.
