Tom started his business career in 1972 as an Area Manager for the Miller Brewing Co. He served in various capacities until 1982 when he became Sr. Vice President for Sales, a position he held until 1993. Subsequently, he joined a group of other adventurous entrepreneurs and formed First Republic Inc., which was the first America style beer distributorship located in Moscow, Russia. While at Miller, Tom worked with Chris and later became one of Chris' first clients. Tom was an active participant in the management of his own portfolio.
