He has nearly 20 years of experience managing client investment portfolios for individuals, families, and institutions and endowments. Before joining William Blair, Steve worked at Kalmar Investments, Inc. and Downtown Associates, LLC, both East Coast-based investment firms, and earlier with First Analysis, LLC, a venture capital and public equity research firm located in Chicago. Steve began his career with W.W. Grainger. He received his M.B.A. from DePaul University in Chicago and a B.S. from the University of Kansas.
