Before joining Curmi & Partners, Somnath was “Head of Research and Strategy” at MZ Investments, Malta. He was also a member of the Investment Committee and Co-fund Manager there. Somnath started his journey into the fascinating world of finance in 2004 as an associate trader at a hedge fund called Whitebeam Capital, London. He has vast experience in managing funds for various strategies, absolute return (hedge fund) and relative return (tracker fund) at Baillie Gifford in Edinburgh, where he joined in 2008. His main expertise is fixed income (including foreign exchange) but over the years, his experience will qualify him to be a multi asset person.
