Scott’s father, Robert Walker, was an attorney and became President of the Platte Valley State Bank in Kearney, Nebraska, so Scott had the good fortune to work in the bank through his high school years. He went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 1980, with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in finance and economics.
