Sam Harvey is the President of Harvey Investment Company. He received a B.A. in 1969 and an M.B.A. in 1971 from the University of Virginia. He began his investment career at J. J. B. Hilliard, W. L. Lyons, Inc. as a stockbrocker in 1972 and later held positions as a branch manager, Director of Research, Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of the firm’s Investment Management Group. He was an Executive Vice President of the firm and a member of the Board of Directors of Hilliard Lyons prior to its purchase by PNC Financial Services.
