Sage was born and raised in Southern California and graduated Cum Laude from California Polytechnic State University as a First-Generation student. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Psychology. Passionate about investing and finance, he co-managed $750,000 of the university's endowment fund. Sage first gained experience in the wealth management and tax industry, and collaborated with a team of analysts for the 2020 CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Investment Research Challenge.
