Rodney Goodman, a veteran of the Abilene Fire Department and longtime community servant began his term on the AISD Board of Trustees in May 2020. Goodman grew up in Washington state before moving to Abilene to attend Abilene Christian University where he graduated with a BBA in Accounting. Goodman has served the citizens of Abilene as a firefighter with the Abilene Fire Department for the last 34 years. He is currently an EMT-Advanced and Captain at station 8. He also works part-time as the Finance and Operations Director for the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature. Goodman is heavily involved in the community and currently serves as a Lunch Buddy with the Big Brothers/B
