Richard A. Piliero, managing director, leads private equity investments in the energy transition sector for Franklin Templeton Global Private Equity. Mr. Piliero joined Franklin Templeton in 2001 as a founding member of the Templeton emerging markets private equity team, established by Dr. Mark Mobius. In this capacity, Mr. Piliero led growth stage private equity deals and served as board member to investee companies, in North and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Mr. Piliero was with Investor Growth Capital in New York (the Private Equity Division of Investor AB of Sweden) and Bear Stearns & Co., in the Investment Banking Department.
