Mr. Chan is responsible for Varadero’s finance, tax, accounting, and audit matters in his capacity as Chief Financial Officer joining in 2014. Prior to joining Varadero, Mr. Chan was the Chief Financial Officer for the hedge funds business at Wexford Capital, L.P. (“Wexford”) joining in 2005 where he oversaw the financial, tax, and reporting for the hedge fund business as well as for the management company and its affiliates. Mr. Chan previously held finance and accounting roles at Apollo Management, the Blackstone Group, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Chan is a Certified Public Accountant and has a B.A. in Accounting and a minor in Mathematics from Queens College.
