In January of 2006 Michael Schwaiger joined Battelle. Michael has more 20 years of experience in capital markets and corporate finance/treasury. Prior to joining the firm, he spent greater than five years with the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System. Michael has had roles of growing importance with Battelle and presently serves as Investment Management Senior Director, where he leads Battelle’s investment programs with assets valued at approximately $6 billion. These programs include Battelle’s balance sheet investment portfolio, a wholly owned Bermuda based captive insurance company, retirement plans and voluntary employee benefit association trusts.
