Mike joined Milwaukee Jewish Federation (MJF) as Chief Financial Officer in January 2023, following a 30-year career in public accounting and twelve years as President & CEO of Ovation Communities. He graduated from UW Madison (BBA-1981), becoming a CPA in 1984, and joined his family’s business, Sattell, Johnson, Appel & CO, SC, where he became managing shareholder and provided professional services to closely held businesses and their owners as well as many not-for-profit organizations, including several constituent agencies of MJF.
