Larry Kochard is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Makena Capital Management. He is also a Managing Director and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Larry was previously the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the University of Virginia Investment Management Company (UVIMCO). In addition to being CIO of Makena, Larry serves on the board of Janus Henderson Group (where he chairs the compensation committee), is Chair of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Virginia Retirement System, and is on the board of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA).
