Born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, Katia moved to Canada, shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, to pursue her university education and a life of better opportunities. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (with specialization in Finance) at the Schulich School of Business at York University, where she graduated top of her class and won several academic scholarships. She obtained her CFA designation shortly thereafter. Katia spent the first few years of her career as an Equities Research Analyst at RBC Capital Markets. Her strong analytical skills and passion for investing propelled her into the next stage of her career as a Senior Analyst in the Global Equities div
