Scott began his investment career after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in 1971. Within seven years he became a partner of the NYSE firm of Elkins Morris Stroud & Company in Philadelphia, PA. Scott was then elected to the five person board and in 1982 was instrumental in the sale of the firm to Prudential Securities where he became a Senior Vice President and Member of the Chairman’s Council. In 2000, Scott joined Morgan Stanley as a Senior Vice President and was a Member of the Chairman’s Club.
