John joined AIS in 1994. He previously served as an analyst with Prudential Insurance and for eight years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, where in his last duty assignment he held the rank of Captain and served as an instructor of economics at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He earned an MA in Economics from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1991 and an MBA from the University of Montana in 1988. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1984 with a BBA in finance. John lives with his family in Lenox, Mass. John is also an avid runner and enjoys nordic skiing.
