Mr. Nanayakkara has been a member of the Westminster Financial Companies Board of Directors and the Investment Policy Committee since 2009. He attended the University of Maryland. Johann Nanayakkara started his career in 1980 with the regional brokerage firm, Ferris and Company. Continuing in his career he also had the opportunities to work with John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was recruited to join Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1983. In 1987 he joined the small boutique firm, Capitol Securities Management Inc., in which in 1989 he acquired a 50% interest. He successfully sold his interest in 2006. He joined Westminster in 2009.
