Joe McGuane, CFA, is a senior vice president in Callan’s Alternatives Consulting group. He leads the firm’s hedge fund research, working with Callan clients and consultants to implement diversifying assets portfolios, including hedge funds, multi-asset class strategies, and insurance-linked securities. Prior to joining Callan in July 2021, Joe oversaw investment manager research efforts for credit and multi-strategy hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, and global tactical asset allocation funds for Marquette Associates. Before that, he was an associate director for NASDAQ, Inc., and an analyst for HFR Asset Management, LLC. Joe graduated from the University of Iowa with a BBA in finance
