Jim co-founded Beresford Ventures in 2018. The fund has invested $8.2 million in 140 startups across sectors and regions, usually in the pre-seed stage. The team has grown to seven partners, all based in Florida. Including these 140 investments, Jim has made 175 direct investments, plus 120 on crowd funding platforms and another 250 or more in VC funds in which he is an LP. This is his 5th year as an associate at Creative Destruction Labs. He also mentors at EFL in NYC. Before moving to Florida, Jim worked in NYC as a banker at Chase and UBS. He received his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, his BA from Yale and his high school degree from Phillips Academy Andover.
