The University of Pittsburgh has named Jeffer Choudhry to become its new chief investment officer. His nomination as an officer will be presented to the Board of Trustees at its winter board meeting on Feb. 25, 2022. As CIO, Choudhry will be responsible for the oversight and management of the University’s $5.6 billion Consolidated Endowment Fund. He most recently served as senior managing director and head of investments for Carnegie Mellon University, a position he has held since 2019. He joined Carnegie Mellon’s investment office in 2016 as managing director. Choudhry replaces Gregory Schuler who stepped down as CIO last year to pursue other opportunities.
