Janie Béïque joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2000. Prior to her appointment as President and CEO, she held several positions at the Fonds, including Executive Vice President, Investment. Lawyer by training, she was a partner at McCarthy Tetrault before joining the Fonds. She was specializing in mergers and acquisitions as well as securities laws.
