First elected in 2007, Harry Keiley currently serves as chair of the Teachers’ Retirement Board, which administers the California State Teachers’ Retirement System. With more than 1 million members and beneficiaries, CalSTRS is the largest educator-only pension fund in the world. In 2020, Kelley served as chair of the CalSTRS CEO Search Committee. This global search, conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulted in the system’s first new CEO in 20 years and the first female to lead the organization.
