Gil Preuss has been the Chief Executive Officer of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington since 2017. Under his leadership, Federation has become a leading convener and connector of the Greater Washington Jewish community and a sought-after thought partner for Jewish and other communal, national, and global agencies, synagogues, and institutions. Gil’s tenure has included seeing Federation through a new strategic plan, the COVID-19 pandemic, and rising antisemitism, as well as an expanding focus on building a vibrant Jewish community.
