George joined Baupost in 2011 and leads the firm’s Real Estate Investment Team. Prior to joining Baupost, he was a Managing Director and head of D.E. Shaw's real estate group and was previously a Managing Director at Cerberus Capital Management. George graduated summa cum laude from McGill University with a concentration in finance. He serves as the Chairman of Smile Digital Health, a digital healthcare company, and on the Board of Directors of MRC Entertainment and the Tribeca Film Institute. George also serves on the Advisory Board for the undergraduate business school program for McGill University.
