Gary grew up in Miles City, Montana and graduated from Custer County High School in 1984. He later earned a degree in Business Administration from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. Shortly after college, Gary earned his CPA certificate (currently inactive status). Gary has more than 30 years of financial industry experience, starting as a credit analyst for a large regional bank in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1988. Gary also worked at D.A. Davidson & Co.’s money management division from 1990 to 1998, where he was a Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for investment research, security selection, and client service.
