Fred serves as General Counsel, overseeing Baupost’s legal, compliance and transaction structuring teams. Before joining Baupost in 2015, Fred was the General Counsel at Silver Point Capital, a Connecticut-based investment adviser focused on credit and special situations. From 2002-2004, he was a Managing Director and General Counsel at Ziff Brothers Investments, where he was responsible for all of the firm’s legal affairs. Prior to that he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Tanning Technology Corporation, a publicly traded information technology services provider, and a Partner at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.
