A veteran of structured credit markets with over 35 years of experience, Mr. Guerrero founded Varadero in 2009 after an extensive career in both the securities and investment management businesses. Prior to forming Varadero, Mr. Guerrero was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of NIBC Credit Management, Inc. (“NIBC”), the fixed income investment arm of Dutch bank NIBC Bank, where he oversaw the firm’s North American business from February 2007. Previously, Mr. Guerrero was Head of the Global Structured Products Group at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, where he joined in 2005.
