Eva (Hua) Cheng joined The John A. Hartford Foundation in 2001 and is currently serving as Treasurer and CFO. She is responsible for accounting and financial reporting, monitoring investment performance of the Foundation’s portfolio, taxes, budgeting, and other administrative functions. She began her career at the Foundation as the Senior Accountant and was soon promoted to Assistant Controller. Prior to joining the Hartford Foundation, she served as a senior financial analyst at D.E. Shaw and has also held tax/accounting positions with Sanwa Bank and Spectrum Capital, a subsidiary of The Mitsubishi Trust & Banking Corporation.
