I joined the Church Pension Fund in 2009 from The Carlyle Group where I was Head of the Asian Leveraged Finance Fund. Prior to that I was with JPMorgan for over 12 years as Head of Leveraged Finance for the Asia Pacific region. I was fortunate to be at the genesis of the Asia private equity boom that started in the late 1990s. Our first deal in Japan was a buyout of Tower Records if anyone even remembers those stores! I joined JPMorgan Chase after getting a Master’s Degree at Columbia University School of International Affairs (SIPA) in 1995 where I studied finance and Chinese.
