Eric began his career in the investment department of the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company. He later worked within the equity research unit of the Connecticut Bank & Trust Company. In 1986, Eric joined Hartford National Bank, the predecessor of Shawmut Investor Advisors, and achieved the position of Vice President in the equity research department during a tenure of 10 years at Shawmut and its successor, Fleet Bank. He is a current member of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Institute and the Hartford Society of Financial Analysts (HSFA) and is a past president and board member of the HSFA.
