Mr. Perks is president of Franklin Advisers, Inc. and chief investment officer of Franklin Income Investors. He also serves as lead portfolio manager of Franklin Income Fund and related portfolios, as well as Franklin Managed Income Fund. In addition, he is a member of the Franklin Templeton executive committee, a small group of the company's top leaders responsible for shaping the firm's overall strategy. Mr. Perks joined Franklin Templeton in 1992. Prior to his current role, he served as the chief investment officer of Franklin Templeton Equity, with oversight of several Franklin Templeton equity teams.
