Doug joined Baird’s Chicago office as a Managing Director in April 2012. In 1988 he began his career in the industry with William Blair & Company in their Private Investor department. In 1996, after obtaining his MBA, he joined William Blair’s Investment Management division as a Portfolio Manager and member of the consumer products research team. In 2001, Doug became a Partner at William Blair. At the current time, he manages customized equity and balanced portfolios for individuals, family groups and institutions. Doug earned a B.A. from Denison University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Doug has a long history of volunteer service. I
