Dmitry Balyasny is a Managing Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of Balyasny Asset Management, a global investment firm founded in 2001 focused on delivering consistent, alpha-driven returns through a multi-strategy, multi-PM approach. Dmitry is an active risk taker and chairs BAM’s Investment Committee. He began his trading career with Schonfeld Securities in 1994. Dmitry holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Loyola University in Chicago. He is involved in a variety of philanthropic organizations working to promote access to education and improve public health.
