Derek has been an investment service professional since 1968. He has extensive experience in investment due-diligence and expertise in providing the right asset allocation for each client and family household. Derek graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Finance. He gained significant securities experience working for Lester Ryan while putting himself through college. Upon graduation, Derek served as an officer in the US Navy. He began his financial career in 1966 as a bank officer with Security Pacific National Bank and entered the investment banking business in 1968 with Blyth Eastman Dillon, which later merged into Paine Webber.
