Derek joined Angeles Investments in 2020 and is an Investment Officer. Derek works with clients to help them develop, implement and oversee investment programs. Prior to business school, Derek spent 4 years in private wealth management managing $2 billion in assets for clients. Derek began his career in 2011 working for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, where he managed $400 million in assets that served the tribe’s economic development. Derek received his M.B.A. from Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. He holds a B.A. in Business Economics from U.C. Santa Barbara, is a CFA® Charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles.
