Danesh Ranchhod is a vice president/an executive director with research responsibility for companies in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2011, Mr. Ranchhod worked for a long short hedge fund in Cape Town, where he had multiple roles across operations, equities trading and company analysis. Previously, he was a consultant to various fund managers in South Africa and was an equities dealer for a value-style, long-only investment manager. He entered the financial services industry in 2004. Mr. Ranchhod holds a business science degree with honors in statistics from the University of Cape Town. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
