Prior to joining Merchant Banking in 2008, Charles was the Group Accountant within the Fund Management division of Rothschild & Co, which he joined in 1992. In 2000, he joined the UK Private Equity business. Prior to that he worked at Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now PwC) where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Charles graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Engineering Science.
