Carl G. Erickson is the Founder, Principal, and a Director of Whitegate Investment Counselors, Inc. His primary responsibility is portfolio management of client accounts. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1973, he began his investment career when he joined Dean Witter & Co., Inc. (now Morgan Stanley) in 1975, beginning as a broker in Chicago but then becoming a Regional Director of Tax Advantaged Investments in 1978. Carl moved to Winthrop Financial, a privately held real estate and investment firm in Boston, in 1981 and became a partner in 1982.
