Brett Johnson serves as Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of Public Investments at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. He works closely with other senior members of the investment team on external manager selection across both public and private asset classes, as well as asset allocation, investment strategy, and risk management. Prior to joining the foundation, Brett was an investor focused on opportunities in public equity, credit, and real estate. As co-founder and chief investment officer at Alesco Global Advisors (AGA), an investment firm acquired by Lazard Asset Management, Brett was responsible for managing three mutua
