Alan serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. He oversees all financial and tax matters for the firm. As CFO, Alan works closely with the firm’s principals, the GC/CCO, outside legal counsel and accountants on fund structuring and formation, financial audits, tax planning and compliance. Prior to Bienville, Alan was a Managing Director at KPMG, LLP in their Alternative Investment Tax Practice where he provided tax planning and compliance services to investment partnerships, investment advisers, hedge funds and their investors. Alan also served as a national instructor for KPMG’s internal training courses. Prior to KPMG, Alan was the Chief Financial Officer at Lampe, Conway & Co.
