Abigail was born in 1969 and raised in the Philippines. Having a father that worked as an airline executive expatriate for years, Abigail had the opportunity to study and live in Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and California before moving to Houston in 1992. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1991. In the earlier years of her career, Abigail worked in the aerospace industry as a Crew Procedures Engineer for Lockheed Martin.
